Decon S.A: “With the Proliner the final result is paying back the hard work!”
Decon S.A is the continuation of a family business company, which started its activity in 1960 in Piraeus, Greece by Markos Kuikas, in the nautical field.
Initially, the main focus was on the internal structural configuration of ship spaces and the manufacture, supply, and installation of fixed and mobile furniture using wood as the main raw material.
With the development of technology, Decon S.A has continually progressed, in terms of facility production, and execution of projects with all the new construction methods. They have now expanded their fields of action and are now able, depending on their customers’ needs, to undertake the planning, management, and realization of technical projects while covering the entire range of activities required.
For them “the passion knows no borders or distances!” and they have completed projects all over the world: Korea, Great Britain, Spain, France, Denmark, Croatia, and Portugal.
Their specialties lie in new constructions – including interior and exterior constructions, such as dividers, railings, bar counters, teak decks, handrails, and exterior doors, among others – reconstruction, and repairs of superyachts.
In order to continue their work and develop their methods and speed up the process, Decon S.A decided to invest in the Marine Generic Package.
Antonis Exintaris, the mechanical engineer at Decon S.A, proudly shared his experience with the Proliner with us: “We couldn’t be happier! We take all 2D measurements and create drawings for our production, with 0 mistakes!
The most demanding part was to measure a couple of inclined pillars onboard a ship (a demanding and time-pressing task). Nevertheless, in the end, with the help of the Proliner, this was completed successfully! The measurements were super!”
He continued: “Last week we performed the installation for the outfit of the inclined pillars with success! The final result is paying back the hard work done by all of our team Designers, woodworkers, and installation team!”
