Lamont Stone: “The Proliner is essential to the running of the business”

Proliner user Lamont Stone is a company from Coleraine, in Northern Ireland, that manufactures and installs natural and engineered stone worktops throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland. Recently they successfully completed a project for Darby’s Restaurant (Embassy Gardens) in the Nine Elms district of London.

Gerald and Andrew are happy to share their Proliner experiences: “We, at Lamont Stone, are constantly seeking technology and techniques to improve the business in relation to accuracy, efficiency and quality, which in turn generates increased customer satisfaction, reputation and additional work.

We purchased our first Proliner back in 2010, which proved to be a significant step towards achieving the goals mentioned above. It could be said that everything in production revolves around the Proliner. We have carried out many projects, which would have been extremely difficult if not impossible, should we not have possessed a Proliner.”

Darby’s restaurant bar and service area worktop project

Lamont Stone recently completed another project successfully due to the Proliner at Darby’s Restaurant (Embassy Gardens) in the Nine Elms district of London. Darby’s is a New York City inspired oyster bar with a large open grill and bakery. It was named after the owner’s – Robin Gill – trumpet-playing father who lived life to the full and toured New York and Chicago during the 50s and 60s. There they aim for quality, respect for the environment and for sure, a beautiful and harmonic architectural design. For the last, Lamont Stone managed to deliver a perfect bar and service area at Darby’s.

Gerald and Andrew continue: “This may not be one of the most complicated projects we have completed, but it demonstrates the abilities of the Proliner admirably. The bar snakes around a large column at one end and encompasses the central service area, with a total length of 30m. There are so many functions that make the process easy and enable you to check your dimensions, radii and angles, coupled to a host of editing tools and finally an electronic transfer facility that sends the information back to base.

Prodim’s training is superb and the technical support department is always on hand to help when you push the limits and need ‘to know how’!! In our view, the Proliner is essential to the running of the business.”
